Cinque Terre
The five famous fishing villages along the Ligurian coast of north-west Italy are a "must see". I'm often asked..where do we stay? My answer..Levanto, just north of the five villages. Big enough to warrant a 
supermarket
but still small enough to retain that quaint village feeling she is
easily accessable by both main trunk train and car. Also nearby is Portavenere and Santa Margherita on the Italian Riviera..an enjoyable day trip via train.
